A certificate of tax-free allowances for the current income tax year, 1973-74, has been issued in this case. The PAYE tax deducted by the employer between March 12, 1973, and April 5, 1973, has been repaid in full and a certificate of tax-free allowances for that period is accordingly not needed.
When was this tax-free certificate sent out?
I am not sure; I have not the information nor the exact date. It would have been issued recently because, as the Deputy appreciates, the period in respect of which it arose ended on the 5th of April. It would have been sent out within the last month.
