asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if it is his intention to re-introduce the Film Industry Bill, which was awaiting a Second Reading before the general election; and if he has any alternative plans for the development of an Irish film industry.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Film Industry Bill.
23.
Mr. R. Burke
It is my intention to introduce a Bill to provide for the development of an Irish film industry, and I am at present reviewing the Film Industry Bill, 1970, to see what changes, if any, are necessary or desirable in it.
Will the Minister consider Ardmore, Bray, as a centre for the Irish film industry when he is considering the Bill?
Mr. R. Burke
Certainly. I am sure the Deputy's representations will be brought to the attention of the Minister.
