I understand that Ballina Urban District Council have requested the National Building Agency to provide a further eight houses as an extension to their scheme of 48 houses at present under construction in Ballina and that the agency's proposals for the provision of the extra houses will be sent to the council shortly.
Can the Minister say when he hopes sanction will be given for the commencement of work on these houses?
Unfortunately I could not tell the Deputy that because the acceptance of the tender, when received by the agency, is a matter for the housing authority. I can assure him that if it is sent to me tomorrow it will be O.K.'d the next day.
