A site has been acquired for a community school in Ballinteer and construction of the school will commence shortly with a view to having it in operation in September, 1974. A site for a further community school is being reserved in the Balally/Sandyford area but current indications are that it will be some years yet before it will be necessary to provide this second school. These schools will meet the short term and long term requirements of the Kilternan area in the matter of post-primary education.
