asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that tenants of certain houses (details supplied) in the Drimnagh, Dublin area are prohibited from providing drive-ins for their cars and that in consequence their cars are causing serious obstruction on the narrow roads in this area; and if he will consider amending the Landlord and Tenant Acts to enable tenants to provide drive-ins.

As the Deputy is aware, the tenants concerned have put this matter before the Landlord and Tenant Commission. I have asked the commission to let me have a recommendation on this matter so that I can examine the possibility of dealing with it in the forthcoming comprehensive landlord and tenant legislation.
