I am not in a position to answer the Deputy's question at this time. When I have made decisions on the FitzGerald recommendations, following consultations with all the interested bodies, I will announce these decisions.

When does the Minister think he will be able to announce his decision?
I am not in a position to say because, as I explained in reply to recent questions, particularly on 28th March, I am awaiting a report from the regional hospital boards, Comhairle na nOspidéal and the health boards. I have no indication as to when these three reports will be available.
Some time this year, perhaps?
I was told unofficially that it would be some time towards the end of this year.
