asked the Minister for Finance the total indebtedness of farmers to the commercial banks over the past 12 months.
Figures supplied by the Central Bank show that advances by the associated and non-associated banks to the agricultural sector at August, 1973, amounted to £129.4 million. This was an increase of £36.5 million over August, 1972.
