Vol. 268 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary School.

46.

asked the Minister for Education the repairs which have been carried out at Skeheenarinky National School, County Tipperary in the past three years; and when it is proposed to instal electricity there.

Mr. R. Burke

In the past three years Skeheenarinky National School has been painted both externally and internally. A grant has also been sanctioned by my Department towards the cost of the installation of electricity and other necessary improvement works. The Office of Public Works are seeking a suitable tender with a view to the placing of a contract.

Would the Minister ensure that the electricity will be installed soon? I do not expect it to be installed today in view of the circumstances but, perhaps next week. Now that the late hour has come in it is dark at 3 o'clock, and for this reason I am sure the Minister realises the urgency of the matter.

Mr. R. Burke

I will take the Deputy's views into consideration.
