The number of days lost through industrial disputes from 1st April to 30th September, 1973, is provisionally estimated at 100,000. The number for the corresponding period last year was 124,000.
Has the Parliamentary Secretary any figures available for the period 1st October to date, or would he agree that the situation has rapidly deteriorated in the meantime?
I would not have the figures. I have not got those figures because I was not asked for them.
Is the Parliamentary Secretary going to make any statement about the appalling situation in the country at the moment where we find ourselves sitting in this Chamber in the freezing cold?
