asked the Minister for Local Government if he will make a supplementary grant available to Sligo County Council to help clear a backlog of local improvement schemes.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 73 and 74 together.
The whole of the current year's provision for these schemes has already been allocated to the county councils. It is not yet possible to assess whether underspending in any county will allow for re-allocation to other counties. In the event of such re-allocation being feasible, the up-to-date position in Counties Mayo and Sligo will be considered.
