The Industrial Development Authority have specified Millstreet, Newmarket and Kanturk as centres for industry in the regional industrial plans for the south west.
I understand that the authority intends to acquire land for industry in the Kanturk-Newmarket area and are seeking suitable sites in co-operation with the local authority. The authority are also having preliminary discussions with a firm which have expressed interest in establishing in the area.
