I hope to reach a decision very shortly on the measures to be taken for the conservation of our salmon stocks during the coming fishing season. At the moment, therefore, I am not in a position to furnish the information sought by the Deputy.
I should like to ask the Parliamentary Secretary to ensure that in any order he makes the livelihood of the traditional salmon fisherman is secured.
I have been more careful in so far as the livelihood of the traditional salmon fishermen are concerned than Deputy Fahey was when he was in this position.
It was my concern that the livelihood of the salmon fishermen should be secured.
