I am not at present considering an amendment of the Food Standards (Ice-cream) Regulations, 1952. However the making of a directive on edible ices is under consideration by the EEC and it is tentatively envisaged that such a directive will be completed in or before 1976. It will be necessary to make regulations giving effect in due course to any EEC directive in this matter.
