Vol. 269 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Kiosks.

46.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider the erection of a public telephone kiosk at Brown Street, Portlaw, County Waterford.

Not at present. This area is considered to be reasonably well served by the telephone kiosk at the Square which is not heavily used.

47.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have a telephone kiosk provided at Holmpatrick estate, Skerries, County Dublin.

Yes. A kiosk will be provided there in 1974.

48.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have a telephone kiosk provided at Kenure Park, Rush, County Dublin.

Neither of the two existing kiosks in Rush is yet being used sufficiently to warrant provision of a further kiosk in the area. I will, however, have the question reviewed if there is further significant development in the general area.

In view of the distance from this estate to the centre of the village, will the Minister agree that this is one of the reasons for the non-usage of the existing facilities? In view of the fact that nearly 100 homes are concerned, would the Minister not agree that they are entitled to a telephone service?

I have agreed to keep the question under review. No doubt the Deputy will remind me about it.

That could just happen.

49.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have a telephone kiosk provided at River Valley estate, Swords, County Dublin.

Yes. A kiosk will be provided there in 1974.

50.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will ensure the provision of a public telephone kiosk at Creggs, County Galway.

Yes. A kiosk will be provided during 1974.
