I am informed by the ESB that they purchase meters which meet either BSS (British) or VDE (German) standards and that these standards comply with the proposed directive. In the circumstances, the board would not be affected by the proposed directive, and I would have no objection to its adoption.
Will this apply to the ESB proposal to instal outdoor meters in new houses?
It applies to all meters used by the ESB, BSS or VDE standards.
