asked the Minister for Justice the total amount of awards by the courts for malicious damages for each of the last three years for which figures are available.
Statistics on the basis sought are not available in my Department. The Deputy's attention is, however, invited to the fact that the cost of compensation for malicious damage may be ascertained by reference to the payments made by local authorities in any given year.
