My Department has approved a proposal by Dublin Corporation to construct a single-storey extension of 2,562 sq. ft. to the existing Terenure Public Library with the aid of a loan of £45,700 from the Local Loans Fund. Contract documents have been signed and it is expected that work will commence shortly.
May I ask the Minister if this area will fit on the existing site or was it necessary to purchase adjoining property?
I do not know. That question was not asked.
I am very familiar with this. I did not see where there was room for expansion when I read about it.
I am quite sure they did not plan to build the library on a bigger area of ground than they had, and I am sure it fits on the site.
