Statistics relating to income tax are not compiled in such a manner as would enable the information sought by the Deputy to be given.

The only information available regarding the distribution of taxpayers over ranges of income relates to income for sur-tax purposes. Tables relating to these ranges of income are contained in pages 162-173 of the annual report of the Revenue Commissioners for the year ended March 31, 1973, copies of which are available in the Library.
