Membership of the Committee is honorary: that is to say the members receive neither salaries nor fees. However, in accordance with section 21 (5) of the Broadcasting Authority Act, 1960, the RTE Authority may pay the members of the committee such amounts in respect of expenses as the authority considers reasonable.
