Vol. 271 No. 6

Written Answers. - House Grant Applicant.

147.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange for the full payment of a new house grant to a person in Cork (name supplied) who has qualified in all respects.

The maximum grant of £300 normally made in respect of the type of house built in this case has been paid. Subsequent to payment an application for the special rate of grant appropriate to small farmers and persons of limited means in rural areas was submitted. My Department have been in correspondence with Cork County Council in order to ascertain if he applicant's income is within the limits which would entitle him to the higher grant, and it is hoped to issue a decision on the case shortly.
