There has been an increase of 2p per lb. in the retail price of butter arising from the recent increase in the Irish intervention price for butter and the reduction in the subsidy. The Maximum Prices (Household Goods) (No. 3) Order, 1974, operative from 11th April, 1974, provides, inter alia, for such an increase.
