The cost of official receptions given by the Minister during the year ended 31st March, 1974, was £3,364.75. This includes £2,845 to cover the cost of the reception for delegates customarily given by Presidents of ILO Conferences and which in this case arose as a result of the Minister's election to the Presidency of the Second European Regional Conference of the ILO in Geneva in January of this year.
The cost to the Exchequer of journeys outside the State made by the Minister and by officials of his Department in the same period was £21,053.43.
