asked the Minister for Lands the acreage of land held for new planations in Killorglin and Glencar, County Kerry; and if it is proposed to purchase further acreage for planting there.

(Cavan): The plantable reserve at Killorglin Forest at 31st March, 1974, was 290 acres. A further 88 acres in the area are about to be taken over while price agreement has been reached in respect of 143 acres and a further 1,976 acres are at the preliminary stages of inquiry.

Is the Minister in a position to reveal to the Dáil the price paid per acre for these lands?
