A funeral grant of £50 is payable by my Department in respect of deceased military service pensioners, special allowance holders and disablement pensioners whose disabilities are related to the 1916-1924 period. Many of these are also in receipt of pensions from the Department of Social Welfare. It is not proposed to extend this provision to all medal-holders in receipt of pensions from the Department of Social Welfare.
