Vol. 272 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot Vocational College.

55.

asked the Minister for Education if the present proposals for the college in Ballyfermot, Dublin, differ to any great extent from the proposals agreed by the Office of Public Works and the vocational education committee in 1972; and the arrangements he has made in regard to the management of this college in accordance with the Vocational Education Act, 1930.

Mr. R. Burke

The proposals agreed between the Office of Public Works and the vocational education committee which the Deputy refers to were in relation to a proposal to provide a vocational school in the Ballyfermot - Inchicore district. The proposal was not proceeded with. The question of the provision of a senior cycle school in Ballyfermot is a separate proposal in relation to which discussions are still proceeding.
