The present intention is to provide a community school for 800 pupils at the Ursuline Convent, Cabinteely. The school will initially cater for girls only but will be developed as a co-educational school.
It has been represented to me however that a development such as that envisaged in Cabinteely may have an adverse effect on other second-level schools in nearby areas. Accordingly the Dublin Advisory Committee are considering this aspect as a matter of urgency and will make an early recommendation to me.
