asked the Minister for Finance if the European Monetary Co-Operation Fund has made any reports to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - European Monetary Fund.
23.
The European Monetary Co-Operation Fund has made two reports to date. The first of these covers the activities of the fund during June, 1973, its first month in operation. The second covers its activities during the six months ended 31st December, 1973.
The main day-to-day activity of the fund, which is covered by these reports, is the operation of the Community exchange system, commonly known as the "snake". The reports summarise the relevant exchange transactions and the manner in which debit and credit balances arising from these transactions have been settled.
As this country is not at present participating in the "snake", it is not directly concerned in this matter.
