asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why he has not replied to a request made by Deputy Kyne asking him to make inquiries as to the poor reception of RTE television in the Kinsalebeg district, County Waterford; if the suggestion that one of the causes may be the low electricity voltage in the district has been investigated; and, if so, if he has made any representations to the ESB on the matter.

I am very sorry that the Deputy's letter, which was acknowledged by me, was subsequently mislaid in my Department. The ESB say that they have no evidence that there is a problem of low electricity voltage in Kinsalebeg and RTE have advised that they have no record of any recent complaint about television reception in the area. I have asked RTE to investigate the position further and I shall communicate the result to the Deputy.
Is the Minister not speaking to Deputy Kyne?
We are on excellent terms.
