asked the Minister for Local Government the total amount of land involved in the CPO made by Dublin Corporation in respect of the areas known as Tallaght, Whitestown and Jobstown; and details of the usage to which the land involved will be put in each case.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government the total amount of land involved in the CPO made by Dublin Corporation in respect of the areas known as Ballycragh and Oldcourt; and details of the usage to which the land involved will be put in each case.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 14 and 15 together.

The Tallaght-Whitestown-Jobstown Area Compulsory Purchase Order, 1970, as made by Dublin Corporation and confirmed by me comprises an area of 1,180 acres approximately. The Ballycragh-Oldcourt Area Compulsory Purchase Order, 1971, as made by Dublin Corporation comprised 321¼ acres of which I excluded 72 acres following my consideration of the objections.

Both orders have been challenged in the High Court. Details of the usage will depend on the outcome of these proceedings and on the terms of any planning permissions subsequently obtained.

16.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the making of a CPO in respect of the City Quay area, Dublin.

A public local inquiry into objections which I have received to this compulsory purchase order will be held as soon as possible.
