I have been informed by the Industrial Development Authority that they have identified a suitable eight-and-a-half-acre site for industry in Kanturk and that arrangements for its purchase are now being finalised.
It is proposed to erect a 10,000-square feet advance factory on this site. I understand that this factory has been reserved for a firm who propose to set up there.
Another factory, which will employ 20 people initially, rising to 40, is already under construction in Kanturk.
