A regulation on the co-ordination of agricultural research was adopted by the Council of Ministers in June last. A provisional programme of projects which might be undertaken by member countries on a co-ordinated or joint basis is being compiled by the Commission. This programme includes a number of projects proposed to be undertaken by research institutions here among which is one submitted by the Veterinary Research Laboratory of my Department. The extent to which EEC funds will be available for any individual project will be a matter for decision by the Council of Ministers in due course.
