Mr. Browne

asked the Minister for Lands the total acreage of land allotted by the Land Commission in County Wexford during the year ended 30th September, 1974; and the total acreage held by the Land Commission in the county on the same date.

Mr. T.J. Fitzpatrick

(Cavan): The total area of land allotted by the Land Commission in County Wexford in the year ended 30th September, 1974, was 650 acres.

The area in possession of the Land Commission for division in the county at 30th September, 1974, was 2,740 acres approximately.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will list the estates in County Wexford at present held by the Land Commission; the acreage of each; the date on which each was acquired; and the expected date for the division of these estates.

Mr. Allen

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have acquired the Earl estate, Monamolin, Gorey, County Wexford; and, if so, when it is hoped to have it divided.

(Cavan): Proceedings for the compulsory acquisition of the property referred to resulted in an objection, on behalf of the owner, being allowed in respect of 59 acres and disallowed in respect of the remaining 69 acres. Proceedings are continuing for this latter area and the matter of price remains to be settled.

Mr. Allen

asked the Minister for Lands when it is hoped to divide the Webster estate, Garrybritt, Ferns, County Wexford.

(Cavan): Although the necessary extensive inquiries on the ground in connection with the disposal of this 393 acre property have been completed final plans for the allocation of the lands have not yet been settled. Just now I am unable to say precisely when allotment will take place but I understand the aim is to include the lands in next year's allocation programme.
