Telephone service to Inishturbot Island is provided by a radio link circuit to the mainland. The circuit was out of order for a period in the afternoon of 24th September last. Service was restored by about 5 p.m.

The radio link equipment serving Inishturbot is of modern design; it is regarded as satisfactory and there are no present plans for its replacement.
