Vol. 276 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Beef Incentive Scheme.

39.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will review the decision taken in regard to the application of a person in County Donegal (name supplied) for grants under the beef cattle incentive scheme.

I have reviewed the decision taken in regard to the application referred to by the Deputy but find that there are no grounds for altering this decision.

I know of this case personally, and would the Minister have another look at it because my own feeling and the general feeling locally is that an injustice has been done? I would like the Minister to make sure that there are no grounds for that allegation.

The Minister has named the person——

I apologise.

——and it was my intention, and specifically so, not to have this done.

I agree with the Deputy. I am sure it was unintentional.

Yes. I am very sorry for this, but I wanted to give the particulars. I shall give them to the Deputy privately then. I did not mean to disclose the name.

I agree to that.
