In reply to a question by the Deputy on 21st March, 1974, regarding Tallaght Garda station I stated that it was intended to erect a new station at Tallaght, but that the project had to be co-ordinated with the overall planning for the new town. This has not yet reached the stage where a decision can be taken as to the most suitable location and size for the site. In the meantime, a proposal to redevelop the existing station so as to provide additional accommodation is receiving active consideration.
