Arrangements have already been made or are in train to acquire additional premises in the Kildare Street area for the National Library. The premises in question are numbers 1 and 1A Leinster Lane, and 4 Kildare Street which have already been acquired and numbers 2, 3 and 5 Kildare Street which are under negotiation. It is not now intended to use the Morehampton Road site for the purpose of extending the National Library. It is a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works to indicate the alternative use to which this site will be put.
