Cavan): The serving lay commissioners in the Land Commission are Timothy O'Brien, John Kelly, Seán P. MacPiarais and Thomas O'Sullivan. Two were appointed with effect from November, 1963, and two from January, 1969.
Section 15 of the Land Act, 1950, as amended by section 1 of the Land Act, 1954, provides that a lay commissioner shall cease to hold office on attainment of the age of 67 years.
