I have been informed by the Industrial Development Authority that it was decided not to build the advance factory on the site in Ballymote for which it was originally planned because development costs proved to be too high.
The IDA have now identified an alternative site and are about to apply for planning permission for a factory on this site.
Subject to planning permission being obtained, the authority expect that construction work on the factory will begin by next October.
