I move amendment No. 1:
In page 2, to delete lines 28 and 29.
I accepted an amendment from Deputy O'Malley yesterday, subject to having the matter looked at from a drafting point of view. I have sent a copy of the revised draft of the Bill to the Deputy. The amendment makes a slight change but I am advised that it is a more correct form.
Is the effect exactly the same?
Yes. It is only a drafting amendment.

In page 2, between lines 33 and 34, to insert the following subsection:
"(2) The amendment effected by subsection (1) (a) of this section shall have, and be deemed to have had, effect as on and from the commencement of section 27 of the Principal Act."
