The answer is "Yes".
Is the Minister aware that in a letter forwarded to me by the Department dated 20th June, 1974, it was stated that this man had a genuine case and that action would be taken? Why was action not taken until I had put down a question 12 months later?
I could not give a reply except to say that the power of the parliamentary question is still great.
Would the Minister not agree that the fact there was no answer is a reflection on the agency if not on the Department?
I would not say that. I regret it was not done originally but the matter has now been brought to my attention and it is being attended to.
