The first official inspection in 1975 of this person's herd has recently been carried out. The herdowner's eligibility for grants will be examined by my Department in the usual way.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if his Department have concluded investigations regarding the payment of beef cattle incentive scheme grants for 1974 to a person in County Cork (name supplied); and if he will abide by the recent District Court decision in favour of this applicant.
My Department have not yet concluded its inquiries as to eligibility for grants in this case in respect of the year 1974 but hopes to do so very shortly. Meanwhile I do not propose to comment on the case.
