I am informed that the House rose last night some three quarters of an hour before the time fixed in Standing Orders. I understand that this arose because of an impression on the part of the Chair that the House was to rise once the Supplementary Estimate for the Department of Social Welfare had been passed. There was no such arrangement. The error, as well as any inconvenience caused to Members, is regretted.
