The table hereunder gives particulars of the estimated receipts and payments of the social insurance fund for 1975 expressed as an average weekly amount in respect of each effectively insured person. It is estimated that employee contributions will represent approximately 29.57 per cent of total receipts in 1975.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will furnish an estimate of the receipts and payments of the social insurance fund for the purposes of the October increases under the Social Welfare Act, 1975; and the estimated employee contribution as a percentage of the total receipts including the Exchequer contribution.
The amount which it is estimated will be payable out of the social insurance fund in 1975 in respect of the October increases in rates of social insurance benefits and pensions is £2,372,000. There was no increase in social insurance contributions in October, 1975.
