asked the Minister for Finance the progress made in the past two years with regard to arterial drainage works; and if he has any proposals to speed up the drainage programme.

A tabular statement, which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report, indicates an acceleration in the arterial drainage programme.

Following is the statement:

Arterial Drainage

In the two years to 25th November, 1975, the following schemes were:— (a) Completed: Groody (Intermediate River Catchment); (b) Commenced: Maigue (Major Catchment); (c) Exhibited as preliminary to confirmation by the Minister for Finance: Corrib-Mask-Robe (Major Catchment); (d) In continued progress: Boyne (Major Catchment); (e) Under maintenance.

Catchment Drainage Schemes

Abbey, Ballyglass/Knockcroghery, Ballyteigue and Kilmore, Brickey, Broadmeadow and Ward, Brosna, Burnfoot-Skeoge, Carrigahorig, Clareen, Cloonburn, Corrib/Clare, Corrib/ Headford, Creagh, Deel, Deele and Swillyburn, Duff, Feale, Glyde and Dee, Groody, Inny, Kilcoo, Killimor/Cappagh, Maine, Matt, Moy, Nenagh, Owenavarragh, Owvane.
