A request has been received from the parish priest, Renmore, that a community school should be established to serve the Renmore/ Mervue/Ballybane/Riverside areas. In relation to the matter of appropriate action to be taken in this connection, I desire to draw attention to my reply on 18th November, 1975, to a parliamentary question in regard to future plans for secondary education in this area.
