asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the amount of money collected by FEOGA since the introduction of MCAs; and the percentage of FEOGA funds accounted for since that time.

3.
The amount of MCAs collected by my Department from February, 1973, to end of October, 1975, was £13.2 million. This figure represents 8.47 per cent of the FEOGA money received by Ireland in respect of that period. I should point out, however, that the figure I have given does not represent the full amount of the MCAs charged because in a number of cases the MCAs were offset against export refunds and accession compensatory amounts due to traders. Details of the amounts involved in those latter cases are not readily available.
