Vol. 286 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Wicklow Pension Applicant.

107.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when an old age pension will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow.

The person concerned claimed old age contributory pension on 21st January, 1975. He had no title to pension on his Irish insurance alone and he was informed of this on 4th February, 1975. As he had British insurance also, the investigation of his pension entitlement under EEC regulations on a combination of his Irish and British insurances was then undertaken jointly with the British Department of Health and Social Security. The investigation has now been completed and he has been awarded a pro-rata Irish pension from 4th April, 1975—the date pension became payable at age 67—at the following weekly rates, £3.59 from 4th April; £4.70 from 11th April; £9.15 from 12th September; £10.10 from 3rd October and £8.75 from 21st November. A current rate pension order book was issued to the claimant on 1st December and a payable order for all arrears of pension due was issued to him on 2nd December.

Question No. 108 postponed.
