Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

183.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is hoped to provide a public telephone outside Cleariestown post office, County Wexford.

The use made of the call office telephone at Cleariestown is not sufficient to justify provision of a kiosk there.

184.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason for the undue delay in the provision of a public telephone kiosk in the Violet Hill estate, Finglas Bridge, Dublin.

The use likely to be made of a kiosk in the Violet Hill area would not be sufficient to justify providing one there at present.

185.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason for the undue delay in the provision of private telephones in the Violet Hill estate, Finglas Bridge, Dublin.

It is expected that most of the applications in question will be cleared during the first quarter of 1976. Attention to them has had to be deferred pending installation of extra exchange equipment which is due to be brought into service later this month.

186.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the need for additional telephone kiosks in Buncrana, County Donegal and of the urban council's request for them; and if he will indicate his proposals in the matter.

The use made of the three existing kiosks in Buncrana is not sufficient to justify provision of an additional kiosk there at present. Representations from the urban council in the matter have been replied to accordingly.
