The Commissioners of Public Works are preparing a sketch scheme for the provision of two extra classrooms and a general purposes room at Derrinturn national school, Carbury, County Kildare. It appears, however, from a recent report furnished by an inspector of my Department that such addition to the existing accommodation might not be adequate to meet the long-term requirements of the district. In the circumstances, it has become necessary to consider the question of providing a larger extension than that originally proposed.
