Vol. 288 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foreign Goods Purchases.

17.

andMr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Public Service the total value of foreign manufactured goods purchased in 1975 through Irish agents by his Department and any State-sponsored bodies under his control, excluding goods not manufactured in Ireland.

The detailed information sought by the Deputies is not readily available from the records maintained by my Department and the time and expense involved in obtaining it would not be justified. Such information as is readily available indicates that the purchase of foreign manufactured goods is negligible.

There are no State-sponsored bodies under my control.
